When I saw that Friday was HR Professionals Day, I started thinking about all of the moments (great and harrowing) where HR people partnered with me to get the job done.

It can be a strange job, in HR, with days that ping-pong back and forth from recruiting, hiring, firing, employee relations, and answering benefits questions all along the way.
